Owner and Director
Tim Holdsworth (Born 1978) first started working in the business wrapping the Christmas gifts when he was thirteen. Working and studying, he finished Year 12 in 1995 and went on to study Fine Art Gold and Silversmithing at RMIT University. Moving to the business full time in 1999, Tim took courses in enamelling, gemmology and diamond grading with the Gemmological Association of Australia and enjoys designing much of the jewellery in the three stores. Tim became an owner and director of Holdsworth Bros. Jewellers in 2004 and divides his time among the stores as a jeweller and sales consultant as well as travelling overseas with Chris to source and purchase many of the fine gemstones used in their jewellery . He enjoys his spare time fishing, canoeing, cooking and playing with his golden retriever-poodle cross, Honey.
Peter started with the business on St. Patricks day, 1997 as the head jeweller. He started his apprenticeship in 1985 and his attention to detail and finely tuned hand skills were recognised as he was awarded the Australian Apprentice of the Year in 1987.
He went on to expand his knowledge of Gemstones by completing the Diploma of Gemmology at the Gemmological Association of Australia where he also has donated his time as a class teacher.
He recently completed his Diamond Grading Certificate and has become a proud father of two boys.
Marketing and Social Media
Carmen entered the business as a sales consultant in 1998 after completing high school. Working at the Eastland store she was quickly recognised as a charismatic, hard working and reliable sales consultant with a keen interest in fashion and jewellery. Completing her degree in architecture, she was the natural choice to manage the Camberwell store when it opened in 2005. Applying her fashion and jewellery experience to a marketing role she took on managing the marketing and social media programme for Holdsworth Bros in 2015. For her spare time she enjoys travelling, going out with friends and keeping an eye on all the latest fashion magazines. In 2011 she finally relented and married Tim Holdsworth.
